A wine shop that sees every bottle as a fragment of territory and a capsule of time

Wine and Books was born from the belief that wine is not only tasted — it is also read. Every vintage contains a narrative shaped by soil, climate and the hands that worked it. Our craft is to decipher that narrative and present it without noise. We visit estates from the Douro to Alentejo, from Bairrada to Dão, seeking producers who respect place and time. We do not select by volume or trend. We select by identity, character and signature.
Our selection is never truly complete — it evolves with every vintage, every philosophy we encounter and every bottle that deserves a place on the shelf.
Every wine is recorded through its stone — schist, granite, clay or limestone — because terroir is the first page of the story.
We work with vintages that wait for the right moment, not the market's. Patience is our method.
We favour those who care for the vineyard as an inheritance, not as a resource. Philosophy before volume.
Every bottle enters with tasting notes, producer philosophy and regional context — a dossier, not merely a label.

We do not produce wine. We discover and select bottles capable of revealing the identity of a territory.
